"Terms and Conditions - The small print"

This Web Site, www.swiftelectrical.net, is operated by Swift Electrical Northampton which trades under M.G Lantsbery LTD.

These Terms will apply to all transactions on this Website, whether you are ordering online or by telephone. Different terms and conditions apply when You shop in store. Please read this document carefully and print it off or download it before placing Your Order. Occasionally, We will update these Terms. The Terms published on the Website at the time You place Your Order will apply, so You should read them each time You shop with Us.

Product Information

Product specifications, images and other information published on our website have either been made accessible by suppliers, manufacturers, publications, publicists, or been gathered from public-domain sources. Our intention is to ensure that all information on the website should be as accurate and up to date as possible. We cannot guarantee the reliability or the accuracy of the information contained within the site. Actions taken by the user of the website are the responsibility of the individual. Images, descriptive matter, specifications and advertising on our site are for the sole purpose of giving an approximate description of the goods. Full detailed specifications are available from the manufacturers brochures or their websites The prices quoted on this website are valid for Internet sales only. All prices and charges on this site are in UK pounds sterling and VAT at 20%, but exclude delivery charges (see Delivery below). We are entitled to make adjustments to prices to take account of any increase in our suppliers prices or the imposition of any taxes or duties. Prices may be subject to change if the price published for the goods is wrong. In all cases we will inform you of the correct price and give you the opportunity to cancel the order. We accept most major credit and debit cards these include Visa, MasterCard and Switch. We will require cardholders full details including name, address and telephone number as registered with the bank. Incorrect information will cause a delay in processing your order. Your order will only be processed once authorisation of your credit card has been properly received. Cheque or postal orders are accepted although we cannot despatch the goods until payment has been cleared which can take at least 7 working days. We hold a huge range of products in stock for immediate delivery. Once the order is placed, the customer will be notified via e-mail of the confirmation. Delivery can only be made to the Cardholders Address. All other products will be dispatched within 24 working hours providing payment is processed successfully (Monday to Friday), excluding Bank Holidays.Delivery services listed above are for UK mainland delivery only.

Product Guarantee

The manufacturer guarantees all purchases for a period of 12 months, unless stated, from date of invoice. The guarantee excludes faults caused by accident, neglect or misuse by the customer. Please note that there is no fixed charge for collections. Alternatively you may choose your own form of insured courier at your own cost. What to do if something goes wrong! Under the Sale of Goods Act 1979, when you buy something from a shop you could get a refund or repair if the item doesn't work properly and is not the same as advertised, Breaks down sooner than it should after purchase. Swift Electrical can choose whether to replace or repair the goods. You also normally have up to a few weeks to return faulty goods and get a refund. A full refund of the cost of the goods will be given if the item appears faulty on our behalf or the manufacturer.

Changing your Mind

Under the Sale of Goods Act 1979, What you can do if you change your mind depends on what you are buying and where you buy it from! When you buy something via our website online or by phone, you usually have seven working days to change your mind and get a refund. If you buy something instore and change your mind, you don't have the right to return the item for a refund. But due to circumstances we may let you return it for a refund or exchange if it hasn't been used, unopened and can be sold to someone else.

Consumer Contracts Regulations

The Distance Selling Regulations no longer apply in UK law. As of 13th June 2014 the new Consumer Contracts Regulations - which implement the Consumer Rights Directive in UK law - apply to all purchases you make at a distance.

This includes shopping online and/or over the telephone.

Your right to cancel

Cancellation changes include an extension to the length of time a consumer has to change their mind and cancel goods or services purchased online or by phone, or in the consumer's home from 7 days to 14 after purchase.

We do have the right to withhold refunds for cancelled purchases until the consumer has either returned the goods or can provide evidence that the goods have been returned to us.

We also have the right to not offer a full and complete refund and make reasonable deductions on refunds made for unwanted items if the customer has used the item before returning.

Cookies

We collect information about you for 2 reasons: firstly, to process your order and second, to provide you with the best possible service. We will not e-mail you in the future unless you have given us your consent and we will not pass your e-mail address to other trusted traders unless you agree. We will never collect sensitive information about you without your explicit consent. The information we hold will be accurate and up to date. You can check the information that we hold about you by emailing us. If you find any inaccuracies we will delete or correct it promptly. The personal information, which we hold, will be held securely in accordance with our internal security policy. If we intend to transfer your information outside the EEA (European Economic Area) we will always obtain your consent first. We may use technology to track the patterns of behaviour of visitors to our site. This can include using a cookie which would be stored on your browser. You can usually modify your browser to prevent this happening. The information collected in this way can be used to identify you unless you modify your browser settings. Complaints

We take complaints very seriously indeed. We try very hard to provide a high level of customer service, however mistakes do occur. Nevertheless, we will do our utmost to resolve the problem. We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 working days.
